The Colchagua terroir: character in every grape

Encierra’s wines are born at Viña San Diego de Puquillay, in Peralillo, a privileged spot within the Colchagua Valley.
Here, varieties like Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenere, Syrah, and Petit Verdot grow in complex soils containing clay, volcanic material, and metamorphic rock. This diversity gives each wine structure, depth, and a unique identity.

On top of that, the Mediterranean climate and wide temperature range allow for slow ripening, key to producing high-quality grapes with rich aromatic concentration.
